One of the reasons I like song lyrics so much is that, when written well, they work on more than one level. KT Tunstall’s “Other Side Of The World” is a great example of that.

On the one hand, it’s a story of two people in a long-distance relationship. On the other hand, it could also be a story about two people sitting right next to one another, slowly drifting apart…mentally at first, and in time…
