Another brilliant selection Bonnie Barton!

I first saw Breakfast at Tiffany’s aged about 15 and fell in love with it…and indeed Audrey Hepburn…from that moment on.

So many amazing covers! For me, Elton John’s was surprisingly good (not that he isn’t a great artist, it’s just not the type of song I normally associate with him). And Sarah Joy did the best job of capturing the wistfulness of the original “fire escape” version I felt.

And a shout out for the great Johnny Mercer on lyric duty too…one of his finest moments as a songwriter…

What a selection though, Bonnie. A classic song and so many different treatments, I’ve spent the best part of an hour going through them all…time very well spent,.I might add!

Thanks as always for the wonderful selection of great music, Bonnie. This mixtape has been a real treat…some great versions of one of my all-time favourite songs…

Without words, it’s just a nice tune. Add words — now you’ve got a song. And songs can change your world. I write about some that changed mine.
